2-Day Wellbeing Program
The power of exercise
How do you build a regular exercise routine? Exercise is one of the most powerful tools for improving mental health – but getting started can feel overwhelming. That’s where our 2-Day Wellbeing Program comes in! Across two interactive workshops, we’ll equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to build your own exercise routine to support your mental health.
Backed by research
Our 2-Day Wellbeing Program was designed by a trainer with bipolar disorder and a clinical psychologist, both of whom discovered firsthand how exercise could help manage mental health. Over time, more and more research has backed up what they experienced: regular movement is an incredible tool for lifting your mood, reducing stress, and improving overall wellbeing. Now, we want to help you tap into those benefits too!
Session times
Two three-hour sessions (10am–1pm), a few days apart.
Cost
A nominal fee of $20 to take part in the program.
Location
Various locations around Sydney and Orange.
Who can join
The 2-Day Wellbeing Program is designed for anyone 18+ with a mild to moderate mental health condition who is being managed by a medical professional and has a current mental health plan. No fitness level required – just the willingness to move!
What to expect
Each three-hour workshop is designed to empower you with tools and techniques to make exercise a regular and enjoyable part of your life.
You’ll join a group of six to twelve participants and start off with a two-hour education session led by a trained facilitator. You’ll learn about goal setting, managing negative thoughts and strategies to help you identify challenges and push through them.
We don’t just talk about the benefits of exercise – we show you! You’ll take part in a fun, beginner-friendly activity like cardio tennis, designed to get your heart rate up and boost your mood instantly. No matter your fitness level, you’ll walk away feeling energised and accomplished!

How to register
Register through Eventbrite
To join the 2-Day Wellbeing Program, simply register for one of our upcoming events through Eventbrite. You’ll be asked to pay the $20 fee to take part in the program.
If you’re currently experiencing financial difficulty and cannot pay the fee, please email info@moodactive.org.au. We completely understand that life can be tough, and we’re happy to discuss waiving your fee so cost isn’t a barrier to joining the program.
Fill out the DASS-21 form
Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email with a link to our DASS-21 form. This short online questionnaire helps us understand how you’re going, set a wellbeing baseline and make sure the program is right for you. It should take about 10 minutes to complete
You’ll need to complete the DASS-21 before attending the program. Your responses are private and are only used to support your participation and to help us improve our programs over time.
