Enter a team in the Mood Active tennis fundraising day

Mood Active Founder Cam Wilson is inviting players to enter teams in this unique tennis fundraising event in Orange.

If you enjoy tennis and want to support a great cause, the Mood Active tennis fundraising day is a fantastic opportunity to get involved. The event will bring together teams from the Central West and Sydney for a day of competitive and social tennis while raising funds to support mental health programs in regional communities.

The tournament will take place on 29 March from 10 am at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club Tennis Complex. Spectators are welcome and entry is free, with a full day of activities planned both on and off the court.

A unique tennis event for a great cause

Mood Active Founder Cam Wilson is inviting players to enter teams in this unique tennis fundraising event.

The competition will feature 12 teams, each made up of between 2 and 6 players, competing in a round robin doubles format.

Teams will play up to five matches, with the two best performing teams advancing to a final. The match draw will be completely random, adding an extra element of fun and unpredictability to the day.

Two major prizes will be awarded to the winning and runner-up teams, generously donated by local winery Philip Shaw.

More than just tennis

While the tennis competition is the centrepiece of the day, there will also be plenty happening around the courts.

Visitors and players can enjoy:

  • wine tasting and sales from major sponsor Philip Shaw
  • gourmet food trucks
  • music and entertainment
  • activities for all ages.

A celebrity sports professional (to be confirmed) will also attend the event to present prizes and speak about the importance of exercise in managing mental health challenges.

Local MP and Central West mental health advocate Phil Donato will also attend, speaking with participants and supporters during the lunchtime break.

Raffles will be held throughout the day, with prizes drawn after the tennis matches are completed.

Supporting mental health

Funds raised from the event will support Mood Active’s Mental Health Wellbeing Program, which helps people living with depression, anxiety and other mood challenges build healthy exercise routines.

The program focuses on gradual, supported physical activity in a welcoming group environment. Many participants find that regular movement and connection with others can play an important role in improving mood and overall wellbeing.
